The Rules

 It’s so interesting how everything has rules even when we try to say we are not adhering to the ones setup. We typically are still playing by some kind of a rule that was set up through conditioning or environment. Like I can’t lie I have been married and I literally hated every minute of it. But because the status quo tells us it’s so great and it’s a romantic adventure shared between two people who love each other humans are literally sold on this idea of being with this someone forever.


The rules of bills and living and eating and maintaining a certain level of respect from others. The rules of being kind and just being social whew 😅 my hair has rules lol!!!

IG has rules , the way I wear my clothes has rules!!

So no wonder in the space of someone you care for and in the space of just being you , you just want to be free.

Romance is it Dead or Alive ?

  Well, well, well here we go!!!! I can literally hear everyone screaming its DEAD 😵 Too many women I know struggle and even men are struggling with the idea of romance. Maybe the problem is that we see it as just an idea and not something we truly want to implement into our relationships. Love is a VERB. I can’t remember the last time I was getting into a car and the man held the door open for me but to be completely honest I feel like that may have happened three weeks ago when I was hopping into my Lyft with this guy who likes to play my boyfriend on occasion, and it felt awkward. I am pretty sure it felt awkward because no one ever does it. When I think of romance, I think about the movies I have watched over and over again that show guys that are hopelessly in love and go to hell and back to make sure the girl realizes how much he wants to be with her.  Flash into reality really quick the IG DM ugh or tinder not my particular thing but a lot of people are Tinder, Bumble and Hinge

Finding peace in a storm ☔️

  Isn’t it crazy when you think of all the things that adulting throws at you???  The world we live in has changed so much over the last 10 years and I am so glad to see I am changing with it. One thing you don’t want to do is stop changing. Not changing and growing alone can cause an environment that will be toxic to your mind and soul, and it will spread a negative example.  I compiled a short list of things we can do to help find peace in a storm. One of the best ways that we can find peace is by meditating and starting our day with a mentality of being able to give and receive. Giving knowledge and receiving knowledge.  And trust me I get it when no one wants to hear everything will be okay or how do you even focus on peace when everything is so chaotic. I can’t lie that is hard. But learning to navigate hard is where you will actually find your peace.
